Our story

About Parent Plan

Built by parents, for parents — because keeping up with everything school sends shouldn't be this hard.

We're Rav and Abbi, a husband and wife from Surrey with two boys at primary and secondary school.

Between work and family life, keeping on top of everything school sends was a constant struggle. School updates arrive by email — detailed, well-meaning, full of things we genuinely wanted to know. But they'd land in the inbox at 6pm on a Tuesday, and by the time we got to them, the thing we needed to act on had passed. A deadline missed. A costume forgotten. A trip we almost didn't sign up for in time.

We tried everything. Folders. Weekend reading slots. Reminders. Nothing stuck. The problem wasn't that we didn't care — it was that the volume was too high and the format was wrong. A long email full of good information still requires you to stop, read carefully, and remember. Nobody has time for that reliably.

"What if it just arrived in WhatsApp, with only the bits that matter for each child, sorted by whether you need to do something?"

That was the question Rav asked in early 2025. The answer became Parent Plan. You forward your school's updates to us. We process them, extract the events, deadlines, and notices relevant to each of your children, and send you a clear summary on WhatsApp. No app. No login. Forward what the school sends, or set it up once on desktop and forget about it.

We built it first for ourselves. Then we started sharing it with other parents. The response told us we weren't the only ones with this problem. So we built it properly — and here we are.

What we believe

01
Parents shouldn't have to work hard to stay informed

Schools do their best to keep parents in the loop. The problem isn't effort on either side — it's that email is the wrong format for busy people with limited time. Parent Plan fixes the format, not the relationship.

02
Every child deserves a parent who knows what's going on

Missing a school date or deadline isn't a failure of parenting — it's a failure of information delivery. We think every parent, no matter how busy their life, should be able to stay on top of what matters for their child.

03
Technology should reduce the load, not add to it

No app to download. No portal to check. No settings to configure. Parent Plan works because it lives where you already are — WhatsApp — and asks nothing of you after the initial setup.

What Parent Plan does

You forward your school's emails to a unique address we give you. We read everything — including PDF attachments — and pull out the dates, actions, and reminders that are relevant to your child's year group. Then we send you a short, clear summary on WhatsApp: what's coming up, what you need to do, and anything urgent that needs attention now.

It works for any UK school that communicates by email. It covers all your children, personalised separately for each one, for a single monthly price. The trial is free for 14 days — no card required to start.
